The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Requirements

Candidates are required to:

  1. PhD in social sciences in the field of psychology.
  2. Documented scientific achievements (publications in psychological journals with IF).
  3. Documented participation in research grants.
  4. Participation in scientific conferences in Poland and international.
  5. Documented experience in conducting teaching classes at university (psychology) in the field of: psychpathology of child and adolescent development, child and adolescent behavioral disorders, development of parenting competences, psychology of human development, methods of psychological diagnosis.
  6. Readiness for organizational work (in the recruitment committee: July-August).
  7. Availability to conduct classes (didactic classes in Institute of Psychology carried out from Monday to Friday in daytime and evening mode, i.e. from 8.00 to 21.00) and on weekends (from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. in various departments of the University offering extramural studies).
  8. Competence useful in organizational activities and readiness to work for the promotion of the Institute of Psychology of the University of Wroclaw.
  9. Experience in organizational and promotional activities at a university.
  10. Common knowledge of the Polish language to the extent that it is possible to conduct classes in this language.
  11. Command of the English language to the extent that it is possible to conduct classes in this language.
  12. Communicativeness and ability to work in a group.

Responsibilities:

  1. Systematic scientific development, manifested by publishing in psychological scientific journals (with IF), participation in scientific conferences and research projects.
  2. Conducting classes in the field of individual differences  psychology, psychology of emotions, social psychology, psychology of marriage and family, basics of psychological diagnosis, basis of psychological helping, clinical psychology and others related, resulting from the current needs of the Institute of Psychology
  3. Work for the Institute of Psychology in the field of university committees, tutor of the student group, coordinating obligatory and/or specialization subjects.
  4. Work for the Institute of Psychology in the field of organization and improvement of didactics as well as work in the organization of meetings, symposia and conference affiliated with the Institute of Psychology, University of Wroclaw.
  5. Activities promoting the Institute of Psychology, University of Wroclaw.

  4. Self-presentation containing a description of the candidate’s scientific activity, level of internationalization, organizational activity and teaching activity.
  5. A list of the candidate’s publications for a period of no more than 5 years.
  6. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers to be representative of his/her scientific achievement.
  7. Certificate of participation in NCN, NCBR, ministerial and other equivalent research grants.
  8. Certificate of teaching at a university (major in psychology) for the last five years.
  9. Application for employment addressed to His Magnificence the Rector.
