Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Employment under the Sonata 17 project of National Science Center project, under the title \u201cIdentification of molecular mechanism underlying the phenotype development of Emery-Dreifuss muscular dystrophy\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The principal investigator of the project is dr Katarzyna Piekarowicz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project\u2019s aim is to investigate role of nuclear proteins lamins A\/C and emerin in the myogenesis and the development of muscular dystrophy using iPSCs-based in vitro model, transcriptomics and biochemistry and molecular biology methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project description<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expectations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. PhD in the field of biological sciences or related field, obtained not earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project (period may be extended due to sick or parental leave).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. PhD degree obtained at an institution other than the University of Wroc\u0142aw, or completion of at least a 10-month continuous, documented postdoctoral fellowship in a country other than Poland.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in cell culture, with preference given to experience in stem cell or primary cell cultures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Very good knowledge of molecular and cellular biology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Experience in cell culture analyses, western blotting or fluorescence microscopy, and experience in working with multiple samples, clones, or cell lines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Scientific achievements documented by publications (at least one first author publication in international journal).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Ability to present own achievements confirmed by documented presentations (national or international forum).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Fluent English (written and spoken).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Ability to work independently and in a team.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the research area:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Conducting experiments, results analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Regular record keeping according to common standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Daily work in the science laboratory and good cooperation with other members of the research team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Preparation of reports, presentations and publications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      In the teaching area:<\/strong> none due to the fact that it is research not a teaching position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In the organizational area:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Participation in faculty\/department meetings, seminars.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Preparing publications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
