Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.

The candidate is expected to have:

  1. Possession of a Master’s degree in Korean philology or a related discipline in the humanities obtained in the Republic or abroad; in the case of a native speaker of Korean, completion of a university degree and years of experience in teaching Korean as a foreign language at the university level. For foreign candidates, the regulations on the recognition of education acquired abroad apply. Diplomas obtained in countries with which Poland has not concluded bilateral agreements on recognition of education obtained abroad as equivalent to education obtained in Poland are subject to nostrification.
  2. Knowledge of the Korean language certified by a diploma.
  3. The selection committee will also take into account the following additional criteria related to the teaching needs of the Institute of Classical, Mediterranean and Oriental Studies: readiness to teach practical Korean language classes, activity in the popularization of  knowledge of Korea.

Responsibilities
In the teaching area:

  1. Education and education of students, including supervising credit, semester and diploma theses in terms of content and methodology.
  2. Participation in the development of the Institute’s teaching offerings, including contributions to the development of new curricula.
  3. Initiate new teaching contacts with domestic and foreign research centres.

In the organisational area:

  1. Undertaking organisational responsibilities arising from employment at the Institute of Classical, Mediterranean and Oriental Studies of the University of Wrocław.
  2. Constantly improving professional competences.
  3. Participation in organizing scientific and cultural events.

  3. Photocopy(s) of diploma(s) attesting to the award of a master’s degree.
  4. Statement of whether the University of Wroclaw will be the primary workplace in the event of winning the competition (download Workplace statement).
  5. Self-presentation containing a description of the candidate’s scientific activity, level of internationalization, organizational activity and teaching activity.
  6. A list of the candidate’s research works published in the last 10 years.
  7. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements, or an explanation of the lack of them.
  8. Application for employment addressed to His Magnificence the Rector.
  9. Declaration in connection with Article 113 of the Higher Education and Science Act (download Declaration – Article 113).
