The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Requirements
The candidate is required to have:

  1. Hold an MA degree.
  2. Have teaching experience at academic level in the area of social communication and media studies, especially in the field of digital media, digitisation and editorial design (good knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe InDesign is desirable).
  3. Speak sufficient Polish and English, which would enable them to teach students at academic level.
  4. Desirable (optional) experience in conference presentations and publication of scholarly papers.

Responsibilities:

  1. In the research area: conducting individual and team research in the field of social communication and media studies is desirable (optional).
  2. In the teaching area: conducting classes in a selected area: editing, digital and web publishing, digital media, digitisation and archiving of digital resources. Experience with electronic information systems and knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe InDesign from the Adobe suite are required.
  3. In the organizational area: participating in the organization of academic conferences, editing academic publications, popularising science, participating in organizational work.

  3. A photocopy of the diploma certifying the award of a master’s degree or higher.

  5. An overview of professional accomplishments including a degree of internationalisation and a description of the candidate’s research and their experience in teaching, organizing academic work and popularizing science.
  6. Application for employment addressed to His Magnificence the Rector.
  7. Declaration in connection with Article 113 of the Higher Education and Science Act (download Declaration – Article 113).
