The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
Requirements
- The candidate should hold a doctoral degree and demonstrate outstanding scientific activity, including publications from the JCR list and presentations at scientific conferences.
- Preference will be given to candidates with international experience conducting research related to the theory and phenomenology of heavy ions, particle physics and astrophysics as interrelated fields investigating the behawior of matter under extreme conditions.
- The candidate should have the competence to conduct courses ate the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy in Polish.
- The candidate should have experience in teaching physics courses.
- A candidate who is a foreigner must have verified knowledge of Polish language, both spoken and written, at level C1 or higher (certificate or interview).
Responsibilities (in the research, teaching and organizational areas)
- Conducting scientific research in the field of physics of heavy ion collisions, elementary particles and astrophysics.
- Preparation of scientific publication.
- Active participation in seminars, scientific meetings and their organization.
- Applying for research funding and participation in national and international scientific conferences.
- Conducting teaching classes, including classes in Polish.
- Supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses.
- Supporting the activities of the Institute of Theoretical Physics, in particular in the field of student recruitment and promoting the image of the Institute.
- Developing and maintaining national and international cooperation.

- List scientific publications in the last ten years.
- Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
