The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Requirements

1. The candidate should hold a doctoral degree and demonstrate outstanding research activity, including publications listed in the JCR list and presentations at scientific conferences.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with international research experience and teaching experience. The research profile should be related to particle-nuclear physics and astrophysics.
3. The candidate should be qualified to teach courses in Polish at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, particularly in physics and computer science – related subjects.
4. The candidate should have experience in teaching courses.
5. A foreign candidate must demonstrate verified proficiency in the Polish language, both spoken and written, at level sufficient to conduct teaching activities (confirmed by a certificate or a qualification interview).

Responsibilities
In the research area:

1. Conducting scientific research in the field of particle-nuclear physics and astrophysics.
2. Preparation of scientific publication.
3. Active participation in seminars, scientific meetings, including their organization.
4. Applying for research funding and participation in national and international scientific conferences.

In the teaching area:

1. Conducting teaching activities, including courses taught in Polish.
2. Supervision of bachelor’s and master’s theses.

In the organizational area:

1. Supporting the activities of the Institute of Theoretical Physics, particularly in student recruitment and promoting the Institute’s visibility.
2. Developing and maintaining national and international collaborations.

4. Statement whether the University of Wroclaw will be the primary place of work in the case of winning the competition (download Workplace Statement).
5. Declaration of the discipline in which the candidate will conduct research and in the case of people conducting research in more than one discipline the percentage of their involvement in each of these disciplines (download Declaration of scientific discipline).
6. Self-presentation (information about scientific, organizational, and other achievements).
7. List scientific publications in the last ten years.
8. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
