The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Requirements
The candidate is required to have:

  1. Hold a doctoral degree;
  2. Have at least two scholarly works in the area of social communication and media studies published in journals from the list of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education;
  3. Have teaching experience at academic level in the area of social communication and media studies;
  4. Speak fluent Polish, which would enable them to teach students at academic level, and know English at the level which would enable them to participate in international scholarly communication.

Responsibilities:

  1. In the research area: conducting both individual and team research in the field of social communication and media studies and publishing its results.
  2. In the teaching area: conducting classes in selected aspects of digital media information and data analysis, and digital cultural heritage.
  3. In the organisational area: participating in the organisation of academic conferences, editing academic publications, popularising science, participating in organisational work.

  3. Photocopy(s) of diploma(s) attesting to the award of doctoral or post-doctoral degree.

  5. Declaration regarding the scientific discipline in which the candidate will conduct research; in the case of persons conducting research in more than one discipline: percentual commitment in each of the disciplines (download Declaration of scientific discipline).
  6. Self-presentation containing a description of the candidate’s scientific activity, level of internationalization, organizational activity and teaching activity.
  7. A list of the candidate’s research works published in the last 10 years.
  8. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements.
  9. Application for employment addressed to His Magnificence the Rector.
  10. Declaration in connection with Article 113 of the Higher Education and Science Act (download Declaration – Article 113).
