The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Requirements
The candidate is required to have:

1. A doctoral degree in the chemical sciences.
2. Experience in conducting interdisciplinary research, especially synthesis (Schlenk techniques) and physicochemical analysis of coordination compounds, confirmed by publications in peer-reviewed international scientific journals with significant authorship (e.g. first author or corresponding author).
3. Experience in following techniques: a) magnetic: NMR, SQUID, EPR; analytical: ICP, UV-Vis, HPLC, cyclic voltammetry as well as techniques allowing the analysis of biologically active compounds: gel electrophoresis, mass spectrometry, circular dichroism spectroscopy, etc.
4. Fluent knowledge of Polish, enabling teaching classes.
5. Knowledge of English at least at B2 level.
6. Experience in popularizing science, including activities promoting chemical knowledge among a wide audience.

Additional requirements:

1. Experience in scientific cooperation, both domestic and international. A research internship will be an additional advantage.
2. Ability to prepare research projects and/or actively participate in their implementation.
3. Ability to work independently and effectively in a team.
4. Creativity and initiative in taking up new research and teaching challenges.

Responsibities
Teaching area:

1. Conducting teaching classes, in particular in the field of analytical chemistry (e.g. laboratories, seminars).
2. Scientific supervision of students preparing bachelor’s and master’s theses.
3. Active participation in didactic and organizational activities aimed at students interested in chemistry.

Research area:

1. Implementation of interdisciplinary scientific research in the field of coordination chemistry, including design and optimization of procedures for the synthesis of new coordination compounds containing d-electron metal ions and N-, P- and S-type donor ligands, using Schlenk techniques and work in an inert atmosphere (e.g. in a glove box).
2. Detailed characterization of physicochemical properties and biological activity of obtained coordination compounds using advanced research methods, including techniques based on a magnetic field (e.g. NMR spectroscopy, SQUID magnetometry).
3. Conducting research on the stability and degradation mechanisms of coordination compounds, in particular compounds of biological importance.
4. Systematic publication of research results in renowned scientific journals with an international reach.
5. Active acquisition of financial resources for research activities and development of scientific cooperation at national and international level.

  7. List scientific publications in the last ten years.
  8. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
