Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.
Candidate requirements
- Knowledge of the Polish language sufficient to conduct teaching in this language.
- Knowledge of the English language at the B2+ level.
- Knowledge of Greek and Latin sufficient to conduct source-based research.
- At least a Master’s degree in Law.
- Research experience in the field of legal Roman studies, with particular emphasis on public law and the interrelations between law and politics.
- Teaching experience in Roman law and Latin legal terminology for lawyers.
Documented scholarly activity in the field of studies on Greco-Roman antiquity, as well as participation in interdisciplinary and international events related to research on Greco-Roman antiquity will be considered an additional asset.
Responsibilities (in research area, teaching area, organizational area, respectively)
In the research area
- Preparation of research papers in the field of legal Roman studies, with particular emphasis on public law and the interrelations between law and politics.
- Active participation in academic conferences.
In the teaching area
- Teaching (in Polish and English) classes in courses carried out at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics and assigned to the Institute of the History of State and Law.
- Developing teaching materials.
In the organizational area
- Involvement in ongoing organizational tasks required by the needs of the Institute of the History of State and Law.

- List scientific publications in the last ten years.
- Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
