Project: “Personalized antibody-drug conjugates activated by matrix metalloproteinases for solid tumors”, acronym: PACMAN, Virtual Research Institute (WIB); managing entity: Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT. The PACMAN project aims to develop a new class of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) that do not require internalization and are selectively activated extracellularly by matrix metalloproteinases (MMP-2, MMP-9, MMP-14) in the solid tumor microenvironment.

Job description: Preparation of materials for cell research, conducting cultures of selected tumor cell lines.

Tasks

  1. Preparation of a list of necessary reagents and materials.
  2. Preparation of specifications for the tender.
  3. Close cooperation with the team deriving cell lines from patient tumors.
  4. Preparation of materials for cell research.
  5. Conducting cultures of selected tumor cell lines.

Requirements

  1. Master’s degree in biotechnology, chemistry, or related sciences.
  2. Minimum 4 years of work experience.
  3. Knowledge of basic techniques in the field of biotechnology and cell biology.
  4. Commitment to comply with non-competition rules in accordance with WIB Program guidelines.

Selection criteria

  1. Candidate’s scientific and professional experience and competence to perform tasks in the research project.
  2. Scope of previous research activity and its consistency with the topic of the Research Task.
  3. Quality and scope of the candidate’s previous scientific achievements, in particular scientific publications, participation in research projects, awards and distinctions received, and references issued by independent scientists.
  4. Experience in purchasing materials and reagents in accordance with public procurement procedures.
  5. Candidate’s soft skills, including teamwork skills, communication, knowledge of English and fluent command of Polish.
