The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th, 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Requirements
The candidate is required to have:

  1. MA in English Philology or in case of a native speaker BA – education to first degree level or equivalent.
  2. Command of English at C2.
  3. In case of a native speaker certified methodical course in teaching English- DELTA recognised language teaching qualification (or one of identical profile).
  4. Certified experience in professional work (minimum 3 000 hours taught over the period of 5 years) – proof of substantial, relevant, teaching experience.
  5. Knowledge of life, culture, customs and traditions and British institutions.

Desired requirements

  1. Creative approach to the art of teaching.
  2. Curiosity in gaining knowledge.
  3. Continuous improvement of methodological skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Conducting specialized classes in English aimed at academic teachers (groups and individuals).
  2. Conducting group classes in English targeted at University Office Staff.
  3. Teaching English to foreigners who are to start studies taught in English at the University of Wrocław.
  4. Fulfilling imposed obligations connected with organization or administration.
  5. Taking active part in events organised by SINJA (English Language Centre) with a view to promoting the University of Wrocław.

  3. A photocopy of the diploma certifying the award of a master’s degree or higher.
  4. Statement of whether the University of Wroclaw will be the primary workplace in the event of winning the competition (download Workplace statement).
  5. An overview of professional accomplishments including a degree of internationalisation and a description of the candidate’s research and their experience in teaching, organising academic work and popularizing science.
  6. Application for employment addressed to His Magnificence the Rector.
  7. Declaration in connection with Article 113 of the Higher Education and Science Act (download Declaration – Article 113).
