Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.

Requirements

1. English language proficiency (demonstrated through a record of academic courses and publications); proficiency of Polish and/or another European language will be an asset.
2. Doctoral Degree and Habilitation Degree (or equivalent postdoctoral academic achievements).
3. Proven track record of high-quality and innovative research in the fields of European Studies, EU External Relations, International Relations and other related fields.
4. Documented experience in securing national and/or international external funding.
5. Experience in organizing international academic events on EU topics and building international and/or interdisciplinary collaborations.
6. International academic mobility, whether through study, research stays, lecturing and/or professional collaboration, will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities at the workplace:

In the research area:

1. Initiate and conduct research projects in the fields of European Studies and/or EU External Relations.
2. Publish research results in relevant national and international peer-reviewed journals and/or with prestigious academic book publishers.
3. Actively participate in research seminars, workshops and conferences.
4. Engage in academic fund raising, particularly in the area of EU funding programs.

In the teaching area:

1. Development and delivery of lectures and seminars in the fields of European Studies and/or EU External Relations.
2. Academic supervision and mentoring of students at all levels (Undergraduate, Graduate, and Doctoral).

In the organizational area:

1. Contributing to the organization and coordination of academic events, including summer schools, study trips, and international workshops.
2. Supporting students and doctoral candidates at the Willy Brandt Center in applying for scholarships in Germany and Europe.
3. Active commitment to the goals and future development of the Willy Brandt Center for German and European Studies.
4. Willingness to relocate to the city of Wrocław for the duration of employment at the Willy Brandt Center.

6. Declaration – article 113 the Law on Higher Education and Science (download Declaration – Article 113).
7. Self-presentation containing a description of the candidate’s scientific activity, level of internationalization and teaching  and organizational activity.
8. A list of the candidate’s publications for a period of no more than 10 years.
9. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers to be representative of his/her scientific achievement, or an explanation of the lack of them.
