The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Requirements
The candidate is required to have:

  1. Hold a PhD degree in chemical sciences or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Have documented research experience in the field of synthetic organic chemistry, with particular emphasis on supramolecular systems.
  3. Demonstrate internationally recognized research achievements documented by highly-impact publications of significant importance to the discipline.
  4. Have a very good command of English, enabling teaching activities and scientific work within an international research team.
  5. Have experience in teaching courses in organic chemistry

Additional requirements:

  1. Experience in national and international scientific cooperation.
  2. Ability to prepare a research project and/or actively participate in the implementation of research projects.

The selection committee will take into particular consideration:

  1.  Publication track record.
  2. Alignment of the research profile with the research focus of the Department.
  3. Experience in obtaining external funding.
  4. Teaching achievements.

Responsibilities
Research area:

  1. Conducting scientific research and developing an original research programme that may form the basis of a habilitation application.
  2. Participation in the organization of scientific research.
  3. Applying for research funding.

Teaching area:

  1. Teaching classes at the  Department of Organic Chemistry.
  2. Supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.

  3. Photocopy(s) of a doctoral diploma.
  4. Statement that the University of Wroclaw will be the primary place of work in the case of winning the competition (download Workplace Statement).
  5. Declaration of the discipline in which the candidate will conduct research and in the case of people conducting research in more than one discipline the percentage of their involvement in each of these disciplines (download Declaration of scientific discipline).
  6. Self-presentation (information about scientific, organizational, and other achievements).
  7. List scientific publications in the last ten years.
  8. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
  9. Application for employment addressed to HM Rector.
  10. Declaration – article 113 the Law on Higher Education and Science (download Declaration – Article 113).
