Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.

Requirements:

1. Master degree in biology.
2. Experience in research work in the field of genetics and molecular biology of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, especially in mechanisms of arsenic and antimony stress response.
3. Knowledge of methods used in genetics, molecular biology and proteomics (RNA / DNA / protein isolation, Western blotting, cloning, nucleic acid electrophoresis, fluorescence microscopy, PCR and Real-Time PCR).
4. Teaching experience in conducting laboratory classes at a university.
5. Experience in the implementation of research grants as a principal investigator or contractor.
6. Scientific achievements documented by scientific publications, presentations of research results at scientific conferences.
7. Knowledge of the Polish language to the degree enabling conducting classes in this language.
8. Knowledge of the English language to the extent that allows teaching in this language.

Responsibilities

In the research area

1. Conducting research in the field of genetics, molecular biology and physiology of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
2. Following scientific reports in international journals.
3. Preparation of scientific publications.
4. Active participation in scientific conferences.

In the teaching area

1. Conducting classes in the field of genetics and molecular biology.
2. Supervision of volunteers and students conducting research work at the department.

In the organizational area

1. Activities for the dissemination of science as part of the Lower Silesian Science Festival and the Night of Biologists.
2. Care of apprentices.
3. Participation in creating new subjects and study programs.

7. List scientific publications in the last ten years.
8. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
