Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668) and the statutes of the University of Wroclaw.
Requirements:
- Master degree in biology.
- Experience in research work in the field of genetics and molecular biology of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, especially in mechanisms of arsenic and antimony stress response.
- Knowledge of methods used in genetics, molecular biology and proteomics (RNA / DNA / protein isolation, Western blotting, cloning, nucleic acid electrophoresis, fluorescence microscopy, PCR and Real-Time PCR).
- Teaching experience in conducting laboratory classes at a university.
- Experience in the implementation of research grants as a principal investigator or contractor.
- Scientific achievements documented by scientific publications, presentations of research results at scientific conferences.
- Knowledge of the Polish language to the degree enabling conducting classes in this language.
- Knowledge of the English language to the extent that allows teaching in this language.
Responsibilities
In the research area
- Conducting research in the field of genetics, molecular biology and physiology of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
- Following scientific reports in international journals.
- Preparation of scientific publications.
- Active participation in scientific conferences.
In the teaching area
- Conducting classes in the field of genetics and molecular biology.
- Supervision of volunteers and students conducting research work at the department.
In the organizational area
- Activities for the dissemination of science as part of the Lower Silesian Science Festival and the Night of Biologists.
- Care of apprentices.
- Participation in creating new subjects and study programs.
