The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Requirements
The candidate is required to have:

1. MSc degree in biological sciences or related disciplines.
2. Knowledge of the Polish language to the extent allowing to conduct classes in this language (confirmed with the A-level or another exam).
3. Proficiency in written and spoken English.
4. Outstanding scientific achievements documented by publications (at least three experimental publications in international journal with IF above 5).
5. Experience as investigator/scholar in at least one high-budget project (min. 1 mln PLN).
6. Experience in preparing scientific publications.
7. Scientific interests related to protein engineering, cell biology, the role of growth factors and their receptors (in particular FGF/FGFR), cell signaling, internalization, protein-protein interactions, apoptosis, cell migration, and protein stability studies using spectroscopic techniques.
8. Knowledge of methods of biochemistry, molecular biology (including cloning, mutagenesis), overproduction and purification of recombinant proteins, physicochemical analysis of proteins (in particular, techniques for analyzing protein-protein interactions using SPR and BLI), cell biology (including analysis of signal transduction in cells, proliferation and measurements of apoptosis progression, cell migration, fluorescence microscopy).
9. Motivation to scientific work.
10. Experience in teaching and supervising master or bachelor students.
11. Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities  (in the research, teaching, organizational areas respectively)

In the research area:

1. Conducting experiments, results analysis.
2. Reports preparation.
3. Participation in scientific meetings and conferences.
4. Tracking of scientific reports in national and international journals.
5. Preparation of scientific publications,.
6. Preparation of grant applications.
7. Managing the research projects.
8. Active participation in science popularizing events.

In the teaching area:

1. Conducting teaching courses in the field of biochemistry, protein engineering, biotechnology, enzymology.
2. Supervising students.

In the organizational area

1. Participation in faculty/department meetings, seminars.
2. Participation in organizational areas of the department.

8. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
