The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
Condition to be met by candidates
- Proficiency in English sufficient to conduct classes in this language.
- Knowledge of Polish, enabling teaching classes.
- Possession of a PhD degree in the discipline of geology, Earth and environmental sciences, or related fields.
- Knowledge of issues related to: documentation of mineral deposits, including rock raw materials, methodology of rock raw material research, and mineral extraction.
- Scientific achievements documented by authorship or co-authorship of at least two publications from the JCR list (min 140 pts MNiSW), thematically consistent with the research profile of the Department of Mineral Raw Materials Management.
Preferred qualifications
- Possession of geological licenses/certifications.
- Experience in preparing geological documentation of mineral deposits and deposit development projects.
- Experience in conducting classes with students.
- Experience in managing research projects.
Responsibilities
In the area of research:
- Conducting scientific research and publishing activities in the discipline of Earth and environmental sciences.
- Applying for external funding to support research and maintain research potential.
- Active participation in scientific conferences.
In the area of teaching:
- Conducting courses in subjects such as: methodology of rock raw material research, rock raw material deposits, exploration and documentation of deposits, mining, and raw material extraction systems.
- Supervising bachelor’s, engineering, and master’s theses.
In the area of organizational activities:
- Serving on the university’s collegial bodies, and on admission and examination committees during the student recruitment process.
- Organizing and participating in university promotional events.
