The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.

Condition to be met by candidates

  1. Doctoral degree in: socio-economic geography and spatial planning or in geography with a specialization in tourism geography.
  2. Teaching experience in the field of tourism geography, tourism economy, marketing in tourism, management, economics.
  3. Very good knowledge of English and confirmed ability to conduct classes in English on issues related to tourism, tourism management, marketing.
  4. Very good knowledge of Polish language confirmed for foreigners with a B2 level certificate and the ability to conduct classes in Polish.
  5. Scientific publications in the field of geography of tourism or tourism, including at least 5 publications in journals indexed in the Scopus database.
  6. Active participation in scientific conferences.
  7. Very good computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office).
  8. Ability to use GIS tools (Geographic Information Systems).
  9. Organizational predispositions for the implementation of didactics, conferences, scientific research and field activities.

Very welcome are:

  1. Other forms of scientific, professional and application activity (scholarships, awards).

Responsibilities in the area of research:

  1. Conducting research (independently and in a team).
  2. Establishing cooperation with researchers from other scientific centers.
  3. Acquiring external funds for research projects.
  4. Initiating cooperation with socio-economic entities with the special emphasis on the tourist market.

Responsibilities in the area of didactics:

  1. Conducting classes in Polish and English as well as field classes.
  2. Participation in organization of the education process.

Responsibilities in the organizational area:

  1. Active participation in projects undertaken by the Department of Regional Geography and Tourism (including the organization of seminars, conferences, thematic meetings, etc.).

  6. Self-presentation (information about scientific, organizational, and other achievements).
  7. List scientific publications in the last ten years.
  8. Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers representative of his or her scientific achievements or an explanation of the lack of them.
