Applications are invited from the candidates fulfilling the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act dated 20th July 2018 (O.J. 2018, section 1668) and the Statute of the University of Wroclaw.

Conditions of the competition

1. Possess of at least a doctoral degree in social sciences.
2. In the case of a foreign candidate, be fluent in Polish (to verify readiness for an interview in Polish) to a degree that allows teaching in this language.
3. Be fluent in spoken and written English, to the extent that it is possible to prepare and conduct classes in this language.
4. Have competencies, qualifications and experience, enabling proper implementation of classes, in particular in the following subjects: marketing, monetary systems, economic ethics, corporate social responsibility, history of economic thought, management models, microeconomics, macroeconomics, basics of economics in Polish and English.
5. Have experience in organizational work.
6. Have experience and ability to popularize economic knowledge (important for subjects aimed at non-economic students).
7. Possess personal integrity.

Responsibilities

1. Teaching and organizational work related to the implementation and organization of the teaching process in the scope and dimension envisaged for the position of assistant professor in accordance with the current internal normative acts of the University of Wroclaw, including the demonstration of flexibility in the ability to teach in various fields of economic sciences, in particular in the following subjects: marketing, monetary systems, economic ethics, corporate social responsibility, history of economic thought, models of management, microeconomics, macroeconomics, basics of economics, in Polish and English.
2. Organizational activity in the Department and Institute, performing organizational work for the benefit of the University, Department and Institute.
3. Performing other tasks and activities related to the implementation and organization of the teaching process as indicated by the Director of the Institute of Economic Sciences.
4. Observing the provisions of copyright and related rights in teaching, scientific and creative activities

3. Photocopy of the diploma certifying that the applicant has obtained a master’s degree and a doctoral degree.
4. Declaration that, in case of winning the competition, the University of Wroclaw will be the primary place of work (download Workplace Statement).
5. A presentation containing the characteristics of previous scientific, teaching and other achievements in the field of organization and popularization of science. The material should also include information on mobility and refer to the criterion of internationalization.
6. A list of scientific publications (for a period of no more than 10 years), previous teaching experience and other achievements in the field of organization of scientific life and popularization of science.
7. Application for employment addressed to the Rector of the University of Wroclaw.
8. Statement in connection with Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (download Declaration – Article 113).

The Chairman of the Committee reserves the right to ask candidates to provide copies of additional documents required for the evaluation of the candidature.
