Job Description:
The Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Pedagogy, University of Wroclaw, will be responsible for teaching in the field of pedagogy. Due to the specific nature of the curriculum and the teaching needs of the Institute of Pedagogy, it is particularly desirable to possess competencies enabling the teaching of courses in the psychological foundations of education, as part of the pedagogy program, particularly in part-time studies. The candidate is expected to combine pedagogical and psychological competencies, enabling them to conduct psychology courses in an educational context and develop teaching activities in the field of pedagogy.
Requirements
The candidate is required to have:
- Hold a master’s degree in pedagogy or psychology with documented professional experience.
- Have a teaching or psychological education and documented competencies in psychology that allow them to teach psychology subjects in the field of pedagogy.
- Have a teaching record in pedagogy and/or psychology, including, in particular, experience in teaching classes related to the psychological foundations of education.
- Have experience in teaching psychology classes for students of pedagogy.
- Have completed schools, courses, training, and workshops in psychology and/or therapy.
- Be willing to teach in Polish.
- Have sufficient knowledge of English to enable academic communication.
- Be willing to teach, particularly in part-time studies in the field of pedagogy.
- Be willing to undertake teaching activities to improve the quality of education in the field of pedagogy.
Responsibilities
- Teaching classes in the field of pedagogy, covering, in particular, subjects related to the psychological foundations of education, including: General Psychology, Selected Issues in Contemporary Social Psychology, Social Psychology, Human Developmental Psychology, Developmental Psychopathology/Psychopathology of Child and Adolescent Development, Clinical Psychology and Social Maladjustment, Clinical Psychology with Psychopathology, Educational Psychology, Educational Psychology and Psychoprophylaxis, and Rehabilitation Psychology.
- Teaching classes primarily for part-time students in the field of pedagogy.
- Participating in the organizational work of the Institute of Pedagogy and implementing the unit’s teaching tasks.
- Taking action to develop teaching methods and improve the quality of education in the field of pedagogy.
